Overview |
Overview Family owned Seelig Properties has been operating commercial and multi-family residential properties since 1941. For nearly 60 years, we have managed the Parkway House Apartments and 5,000 s.f. of retail space built by Milton C. Seelig in Bronx, New York. When Mac's sons, Howard and Martin, established themselves on the West Coast in the late 1960's, they added to the family's real estate portfolio by purchasing a 35 unit apartment building at 621 West Galer Street in Seattle. The Galer Street building has since been sold, but the company formed by this acquisition, 621 Company, still holds various developed and undeveloped pieces of real esate including The Collegian, a student dormitory near the University of Oregon. In 1970, the Seeligs formed a joint venture to convert an existing hotel building at 304 - 4th Ave. S in Seattle to 240 apartments plus retail stores. Built in 1913 and located at the edge of the International District at the corner of 4th and Jackson, The Downtowner Apartment building stands out from neighbors with its ornate terra-cotta window fenestration. Entering the new millenium, the third generation of Seeligs has begun sharing management roles in the business, and our property portfolio contains several pieces of real estate that are ready for development.
